Are you planning a day at NASCAR SpeedPark? Let us make it easy for you! We’ve compiled our frequently asked questions to help you find the information you need before your visit. Can’t find what you’re looking for? CONTACT US!

When is NASCAR SpeedPark open?

Our full operating calendar is located on the Hours & Info Page on our website. NASCAR SpeedPark operates year-round. We’re open daily from March through October and have mixed days and hours in November through February.

Do I have to purchase an Unlimited Ride Wristband if I’m not riding on anything?

No, we do not require our guests who are not planning on participating, or are unable to participate, to purchase a wristband to enter the park.

Can I leave the park during the day?

Yes! At NASCAR SpeedPark, we allow our guests to come and go throughout the day with our Unlimited Ride Wristband. Savvy guests will take advantage of this option to avoid the longest lines in the afternoon or to return during our late-night hours for night racing under the lights.

Do you offer a special rate for military?

Yes, we offer a military rate to both active military and veterans. A military ID must be shown at purchase and the $2.00 discount is available to you and your entire party. Regular admission is $24.99ea and includes all-day, unlimited play on 22 attractions at the park. Your discounted admission will be $22.99ea. Please note that this discount is available for in-park purchase only.

Do you offer group rates?

Of course. We love hosting groups and birthday parties at NASCAR SpeedPark! For more information on either of these options, please check out our Group Outings Page or Birthday Party Page.

Why do you have a limited number of go-karts running on the tracks?

To ensure the safety of our guests and team-members, we limit the maximum number of karts per race. We keep extra karts on each track in case we need to switch out a kart with another one for refueling or mechanical issues. We also have a larger fleet on the tracks which run both double and single-seater go-karts. This always allows us to run a full race.

Can I fit in your go-karts?

While every guest is unique, we will make every effort to accommodate you during your visit. Our go-karts can operate with up to 300 pounds capacity weight, and we offer seat belt extensions and even double-seater karts for guests needing additional space. We do allow guest to sit in the karts before they purchase tickets to make sure they can comfortably ride.

How tall does my child need to be to participate?

We are a values-driven organization with guest safety as one of our core company values. As part of that focus, we strive to ensure that the height requirements for each go-kart track and attraction are met. Our team members will check the height at each ride or go-kart track if any guest is close to the minimum height before they enter. The height requirements can be found in advance on the Tracks Page and Rides Page on our website.

Do I need to wear closed-toed shoes?

We do not require you to wear closed-toed shoes to drive the go-karts or participate in most of the attractions at NASCAR SpeedPark. The only attraction that requires closed-toe shoes is our rock climbing wall.

Are helmets required?

Helmets are not required to drive the go-kart tracks at NASCAR SpeedPark. Safety harnesses are in place on all karts, and careful attention is given to every rider prior to racing by our track attendants to ensure each person is fastened in safely. If you would like a helmet, they are available at each track. Please request one from one of our track attendants prior to loading for a race. Smoky Mountain Speedway is the exception. On this track, helmets are required and are provided for each driver.

What do I do if my party gets separated?

It is imperative that each group establishs a meeting point for family and friends. It is also recommended that younger children be shown the Admissions counter upon entry into the park, as this is where any lost parents or lost children should report to be reunited. However, any NASCAR SpeedPark team member may be approached and will assist in locating lost family or friends.

Do I have to pay to park?

No, we have ample parking for all vehicles including motor coaches. Parking is free of charge.

What is there is bad weather on the day of my visit?

As with NASCARĀ® races, inclement weather may result in tracks being closed in order to keep our go-kart drivers safe. In the even of inclement weather on your day at the park, Rain Checks will only be issued if we are UNABLE TO OPEN the outdoor attractions again for the remainder of the day. Our Rain Checks never expire.
